Have you given up on your New Year’s resolution yet? If you’re like most people, you didn’t get past week two. But have no fear, if you follow these five simple rules you can accelerate your fat loss, increase your energy and improve your overall health.

1. Eat More Vegetables: Yup, mom knows best. You’ve undoubtedly heard this one a million times, but that’s only because it works. The trick is to stay away from starchy vegetables (if your goal is fat loss). That means practically any vegetable of your choice other than carrots, corn and potatoes (fried, white or sweet). Otherwise eat as many vegetables as you want, all day long.

Here’s three easy ways to eat more of them.

2. Eat More Protein: In fact, you should be eating protein at every single meal. Protein helps you feel fuller for longer and is necessary to help feed your muscles. Great sources of protein include beef, chicken, fish, dairy and eggs (Get the real deal about eggs here). Protein in the morning is especially important. Skip the cereal and opt for a high protein breakfast instead.

If you “don’t have the time” for a full blown breakfast, opt for a protein shake or smoothie instead. If you go the protein shake route, make sure you choose one that is gluten-free and without any artificial sweeteners. I’ve tried dozens of brands, and have found that the pro/grade protein powder is easiest to mix, tastes the best and is easiest on the stomach.

3. Embrace Natural Fat: Contrary to popular belief, fat alone has little to do with making you fat. Eating the kind of fat that’s found in omelets, avocados, olives, olive oil and nuts isn’t what’s going to push you over the edge (eat these in moderation as they are dense in calories). Instead, be on the lookout for foods that are high in carbs paired with foods that are high in fats. These types of food will spike your insulin levels and will cause your body to store fat instead of burn it (fat alone will not raise your insulin levels).

4. Skip Processed Foods: If it comes in a bag or box, skip it. It’s that simple. Be wary of “foods” that claim to be “low fat” or “zero calories”. “Low fat” foods typically are loaded with sugar and “zero calorie” foods usually are “flavor enhanced” with toxic artificial sweeteners. Avoid both.

That includes deli and luncheon meats which typically include added salt and sugar and are loaded with nitrates (often linked with increased risk of cancer).

5. Ditch the Fast-Digesting Carbs: Foods that contain high levels of glucose raise blood sugar levels quickly. This in turn signals your body to release a flood of insulin. Keeping your insulin levels low not only helps speed up fat loss but it also improves your overall health. In fact, one study by the University of Connecticut showed that when researchers analyzed why low-carb dieters were successful, the calculated that 70 percent of their weight loss resulted from low insulin levels.

So what kind of carbs are “fast digesting”? Fast digesting carbs include foods that are made with sugar or are high in starch. This includes rice, potatoes, bread, pasta and any other flour-based foods. Eliminating or minimizing the consumption of these foods will go a very long way towards a leaner and healthier you.

The last thing you should keep in mind is that your goal should be fat loss, not weight loss. It’s a very important distinction (losing muscle is actually counterproductive to any weight loss goals). One way to help maintain your muscle is to perform a full body resistance based workout at least three times a week. You don’t need to go crazy and spend hours a week working out, 15-20 minutes of intense exercise using a pair of dumbbells or even just your bodyweight can provide significant benefits.

Resistance Workouts Are Important for Fat Loss

Bonus Tip: For everything you do throughout the day, ask yourself: “Where’s the fat loss in this?” I have found this especially useful when it comes to what I eat or drink.

Bonus Tip Two: To check out two of my favorite smoothie recipes, plus a free fat loss workout , you can check out this article: Killer Fat Loss Workout With Dumbbells + Smoothies.

Keeping you fit even though you’re busy, your friend,

Yesterday I found a few exercise related videos I thought were worth sharing and posted them below. I’ve posted a couple of them in the past, but they’re definitely worth taking a look at again for a good laugh. Enjoy!

First and foremost, Happy New Year! I hope you have a healthy and fulfiling 2011!

I also want to thank you for taking the time to read my humble little blog. I hope you’ve been able to take at least one tip or strategy away that helped you get even a little bit closer to reaching your health and fitness goals.

With the beginning of the new year now here, I thought it would be a good time to give you some strategies you can follow to help make 2011 your best, healthiest and most energetic year ever!

Here are some suggestions for a healthy and fit new year:

Follow this 3 step process for guaranteed results

You’ve probably set goals for the new year, but have you given any real moneygram thought about how you’re going to achieve them? Make sure buy diet pill online your goals are very specific (i.e. “I’m going to lose 20 pounds by March 1st.” vs. “I want to lose weight”). Once you have very specific goals, create a plan on how to get there, then track the results. Having detailed goals, a speficic plan on how to reach them and tracking the results along the way are three very key strategies to help you reach your goals.

Do not underestimate this three step process. I’ve seen it make a huge difference both in my life and with my clients. If you need help with any of these three steps, I’d be more than glad to help you. You could either post below or shoot me an email at george@busyguyfitness.com.

Know your limits and accept them

This blog is all about workout, fat loss, health and fitness tips for ultra-busy people. Too many people fail because they try to do too much. You don’t need 5 hours a week at the gym to lose weight and build muscle. Fat loss is 80-90% what you eat. Stick to 10-15 minute full body workouts a week and watch what you eat and you’ll do just fine. Having a plan that is too complicated or is unrealistic (i.e. will never work long term with your busy schedule) is doomed to fail.

Accept that you can’t be everywhere at once and be honest with yourself about your time. You’ll drive yourself crazy from the stress of trying to do too much. But if you’re honest about your limits from the very start, you won’t have failed, and there will be no stress – because you never convinced yourself the impossible could be done in the first place. Don’t overcommit and set realistic goals.

For more on the type of workouts that are ideal for busy people, check out this post on why tabata workouts are ideal for busy people.

Skip Long, Boring, Time Wasting Cardio Workouts

By now you know that I’m not a big fan of this method of exercise, especially for fat loss, and there a ton of reasons for this (not to mention it’s boring!).

1. No long term burn: Doing long, boring, low intensity cardio burns virtually NO extra calories once you step off the apparatus. Your metabolism basically returns to normal once you’re done exercising.

Compare this to high intensity exercise, especially when it involves resistance training, where your body can continue to burn calories for up to 48 hours AFTER your workout! Imagine that? Your workout is done and a day or two later your body is still burning more calories than if you hadn’t worked out at all.

2. No respect for your time: We’re all more time-strapped then ever. So why exercise in a way that provides you with the LEAST amount of results in the most amount of time? I only workout for about 1.5-2 hours a week and I’m in better shape than 99% of my friends and family.

3. Practically non-existent fat loss: Since you’re not burning too many calories while you’re doing that long, slow and steady cardio exercise (and almost none post-exercise) it means that you’re really not going to lose much fat (if any).

Remember: *Time is the one resource you can never make more of*

Drink Tea (and eat more “super foods”)

It is said that besides water, tea is most likely the most consumed beverage on the planet. Green tea is a beverage that nearly everyone could benefit from drinking. Its benefits include cancer prevention, lowering cholesterol, improving mood and aiding in weight loss. Furthermore, because it is relatively inexpensive, it is unlikely that any other food or beverage can come close to its cost-to-benefit ratio.

Green tea is not only a good form of hydration, but it’s role in cancer prevention is well documented and is perhaps the most potent cancer fighter on this list (next to blueberries). The studies showing the anticancer and antioxidant effects of the catechins in green tea are numerous. One recent study by the University of Purdue concluded that a compound in green tea inhibits the growth of cancer cells (Jonny Bowden, 2007, The 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth).

Additionally, green tea is known to lower cholesterol levels and help with weight loss. Researchers from the department of medicine at Chiba Hokusoh Hospital, Nippon Medical School, Chiba, Japan concluded that “the more uses for ampicillin green tea patients consume, the less likely they are to have coronary artery disease.” (Jonny Bowden, 2007, The 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth). In terms of weight loss, one study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, men who were given green tea burned more calories than men who were given a similar drink without the green tea, even after allowing for the possible effect of caffeine.

With the enormous and numerous benefits of green tea, its spot on the “Top Ten” best foods is indisputable. Aim for four cups a day. My favorite green tea comes from Stash.

While you’re at it, check out what I consider ten “super foods” and see how many you can add to your regular diet.

Bonus Suggestion

Whatever you do, do NOT take advice from THIS guy!

Have a GREAT year!

Keeping you fit even though you’re busy, your friend,

George

P.S. One more thing that I thought might interest buy buy cheap cheap levitra levitra you. ProGrade is running a huge sale today. 12% off ALL of their products! I suggest you head on over there and take advantage (you should look into the auto-ship for even more savings).

Here are some of my favorites and how I use them (and what I recommend to my personal training clients):

ProGrade Protein: I’ve basically tried dozens of powders and most of them are just terrible. I love this one because there are no artificial sweeteners (goodbye to stomach aches and nasty chemicals), no bloating and mixes instantly and easily (no blender required). I have a serving and half of this every morning as soon as I wake up. I’ll sometimes drink it as an inbetween meal snack. By the way, it tastes so much better than most of the other protein drinks I’ve tried.

ProGrade Workout: Same reasons I drink ProGrade Protein, but I use this one AFTER my workout. Research and scientists have proven that recovery of muscle nutrient stores can be enhanced by consuming a specified mixture of carbohydrates and proteins immediately after a workout. ProGrade Workout gives you a good ratio of protein to carbs and helps greatly with muscle recovery and growth. No-brainer.

Whole Food “Vitamin”: This, along with their EFA Icon product is the favorite amongst my female clients (there is a men’s version also). I love this product because it is based on whole foods (25 whole vegetables, greens and fruits) not synthetic vitamins that you get over the counter, big difference!

Childrens Multi-Vitamin: While my wife and I take the VGF+ products, this is what I give my kids. I’ve done a ton of research when it comes to kids vitamins, and I was SHOCKED to see what was in most of them (could you imagine feeding your kids artificial sweeteners in their vitamins?!?)

Omega 3 Supplement: Plain and simple: no fish burps and contains over 47 times the antioxidant power dilantin prescription online of fish oil and lutein.

They have a bunch of other great products, but the above are a staple in my and my family’s diet. Check it out here: http://dld.bz/DFYN

I originally started writing this post as a list of different New Year’s resolutions and tips to help you lose fat and stay fit and healthy.

After all, that’s what we bloggers do around this time of year: share our knowledge and best tips for improving our lives as December rolls into January - even though most people give up on resolutions shortly after setting them.

But as I started writing, I realized that just didn’t westernunion feel genuine to me.

I’ve always felt that New Year’s Day is not any different than any other day of the year.

Why wait until an arbitrary day in the year to make a “self-improvement” list?

Today really is just another day, as is tomorrow.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not buy levitra cheap online trying to tell you not to use the incoming New Year as a time to strengthen your resolve and set new goals. For some people, on line diet it’s an effective way of setting and accomplishing new goals but research shows that the perecentage of people successful in doing so is very, very small.

So if you’re making resolutions just because it’s the “thing to do” this time of year, I say that you’re better off not even setting them. If you’re not truly committed it’s just a wasted effort that’s bound to fail and will set you up for dissapointment…and who wants to start the year off feeling like a failure?

Not a good way to kick off the new year.

However, if you’re truly serious about achieving your resolutions/goals (be it fat loss, working out more often or any other goal), I suggest that you make your resolutions a four step process, rather than just a simple list.

Try this process as you’re creating your ”New Year’s Resolutions”:

Define your goals

Figure out exactly how ampicillin uses you’re going to get there and write it down (this means creating a detailed plan on how to achieve your goals). Without a plan, you’re doomed to fail.

Track your progress on a regular basis. Research suggests that just the act of tracking your progress increases your likelihood of sticking to your plan.

Involve others, ask them to hold you accountable. Publicly sharing dilantin no prescription your goals and making yourself accountable to others is a key strategy to success. (Checkout http://habitforge.com/ and http://www.stickk.com/. I actually discovered these two sites while reading “The 4-Hour Body“.

If you’ve already created your resolutions, go back and put them through the process above. I guarantee you’ll increase your chances of success.

Later on today, I’ll have share with you my top suggestions on what ultra-busy people can do to achieve their fat loss, health and fitness goals.

Talk to you later.

Your friend,

George

“Healthy Restaurant Eating” is actually a repost from my colleague Isabel’s blog. I thought it did a great job of addressing a common “problem” and have received her permission to repost it here. I could especially relate to the “trolls” reference as I find myself facing this with my family all the time (including the wife!).

Healthy Restaurant Eating by Isabel De Los Rios, author of The Diet Solution

Healthy restaurant eating is possible and can be much easier than you think. If your schedule has your traveling a lot or opting for take out often, use the ideas below to stick to your healthy meal plans while still enjoying your meal out.

Here is my plan of attack whenver I am on vacation, traveling for business or just in a situation that has me ordering out more than I am able to cook.

I do what I call “damage control”: Do the best I can, with what I’ve got and have an awesome time on my trip!

Prepare my “emergency kit”. I will pack and take with me: walnuts, almonds, almond butter, organic turkey and beef jerky, apples and pears. None of these need refrigeration so they will keep well wherever you are. If I’m in a situation where there is no protein handy (like when it’s time for a snack), I’ve got my nuts and jerky to tie me over. If you don’t have something handy, you just may find yourself grabbing pretzels and potato chips (or whatever other horrid food people eat while away).

Breakfast

There is always a protein on the menu, no matter what. Omelets, or smoked salmon are my favorite choices but I’ve even gone to places that now carry turkey bacon and turkey sausage on the menu. Stay away from the heavy and deadly pancakes and waffles. This is a blood sugar disaster waiting to happen. Eating a sugar loaded breakfast like this will only set you up for hunger and cravings the rest of the day. And, just may ruin an otherwise great day.

Bonus Info: Just in case you ever wondered which are better: egg whites or egg yokes, you can find out here.

Lunch and Dinner

I have said this before. Most of us know what is healthy on the menu but we still continue to order the crappy stuff. Yes, I do believe in a treat and a cheat meal once or twice a week, but definitely not every night of your vacation. Some people eat and choose items off the menu like they are being sent to starvation camp when they get home. This is not an “all or nothing” deal. You’ve committed to eating healthy for a lifetime. Don’t worry. The food will always be there whether you eat it all at once or space it out over a lifetime.

Ok, back to my point. First, items on the menu that you know are drenched in heavy sauces are an instant No-No. Fettuccine Alfredo? Come on now. Are you serious? Can you get the steak, veggies and salad instead and be just as happy? Or, the Chicken Cacciatore with a side of broccoli rabe? (Yes, we’re at an Italian restaurant). Often times, our taste buds are really just as happy with a healthier choice. No, this is not deprivation. This is choosing to feel good, be healthy and eat good food at the same time. Comprende?

Desserts

I love desserts too and I will definitely get myself a yummy piece of apple pie or chocolaty treat while I am away. But if the piece of dessert is bigger than the size of my head, I will not eat the whole thing. There is no need. My taste buds are just as happy with a few bites (and my body is happier too). Remember, we’re not going to starvation camp after this. Trust me, there is enough apple pie, chocolate or (insert your favorite dessert here) to have a small amount at a time for the rest of your life.

The Trolls

The who? Yes, you know who the trolls are. Those people who tell you to “just eat what you want”, or “don’t torture yourself”. These people always seem to come out of hiding when dining with you at a restaurant. (They are also present at parties and family functions. Be afraid. Be very, very afraid). Don’t let anybody else tell you that taking care of yourself and feeling great is a bad thing. I don’t mean to talk bad about your family and friends, but chances are they are not too thrilled with their current weight and health and really just upset that you actually started to eat healthy and take control of your life.

Remember, there is no need to avoid restaurants and vacations (but please do avoid fast food joints). You just need to focus on the healthier options and have a great time!

Keeping you fit even though you’re busy, your friend,

Review of The Diet Solution Program:

The Program that Promises Fat Loss along with an incredible amount of Health and Vitality by George cheap diet pill Louris

URL: TheDietSolutionProgram.com

The Diet Solution Program promises a complete and comprehensive weight loss program ampicillin sodium that will not only help you lose body fat, but guarantees you increased energy, health and vitality all at the same time.

With so many weight loss programs out on the market and on the internet today, what makes this program any different than all the rest?

About the Author

Before we get to the review of The Diet Solution Program, let’s take a look at the expert behind this program. Isabel De Los Rios is a nutrition and exercise specialist with 10 years of experience helping clients reach their ideal weight and tackle conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and high cholesterol. Isabel has a very extensive educational background in nutrition levitra buying and exercise physiology. Her personal experience with her own weight struggles and her mother’s severe diabetes led her search for the BEST nutrition information available today. The Diet Solution Program is a result of her 15 year study and research.

I’ve also talked to Isabel about her training and education background, and I’ll be honest, it was impressive, unlike other so-called “health experts”, who are just following main stream nutrition programs. Isabel provides her readers with the truth: the facts most people have never taken the time to research, read and decipher.

Plus, Isabel has been a nutrition and exercise specialist for the past 10 years and has personally worked with hundreds of clients in her own private facility, overseeing successful weight loss programs. This hands on experience with real people solidified the facts and principles she had learned in books, journals and from other health professionals. The proof was really in the results of real people.

In fact, Isabel’s articles are pretty radical when it comes to her nutrition principles which is why her approach works when main-stream nutrition fails. So if you are looking for the same old nutrition theories taught in every other book and program on the market today, this is not the program for you.

About The Diet Solution Program

Now one of the biggest questions about the program is simply, “What is The Diet Solution Program?” Well according to Isabel, it is the most comprehensive and detailed nutrition manual available on the market today. Not only does it teach you exactly what principles you need to follow to finally westernunion virginia reach your ideal weight, it gives you the meal plans, shopping lists and recipes to do so. It does not push some extreme, unreasonable way to lose weight. It actually teaches you how you can make this healthy way of eating into a lifestyle. And if you have ever attempted to lose weight in the past, you know that the only way to maintain it is to make it a way of life. The best part about Isabel’s program is that this new way of life is not some torturous eating regimen. She really shows you that you can eat delicious food, combined the right way, to lose weight and maintain it.

One of the best side effects of the whole program is the increased health and vitality that every participant experiences. Decreases in blood sugar levels, lowered cholesterol, increased energy, elimination of digestive discomfort and cleared skin conditions are just some of the few benefits other people have already experienced.

Frankly, I’ve used the program myself and recommended to many others. Why? Because I was sick and tired of following nutrition plans that either did not work or made me lose weight but feel terrible. Yes, I want to be at my ideal weight but I also want to maintain a healthy dilantin 50 mg body at the same time and not have to resort to extreme, radical methods. The Diet Solution Program helped me lose weight and feel healthy and energized at the same time. Most importantly, it was a healthy, sensible approach.

Now realize that some effort from you will be required, but Isabel has really done all the hard work for you. Included in her program is:

Step by step action steps telling you exactly how to put the principles in place

Detailed daily meal plans that make everyday eating easy

Shopping Lists to make food shopping a snap

Delicious Recipes to make everyday meals tasty

The manual is comprehensive. Jam packed with incredible and valuable information. But you don’t need to wait to get through the whole thing before you can start. You can use Isabel’s Quick Start Guide to start the program ASAP. Some people have even just used the quick start guide and lost 10-15lbs in a little as 6 weeks.

The Diet Solution Program is not just another weight loss scheme or extreme diet. It is truly a great way to lose weight and enjoy a lifetime of health. The Diet Solution Program is perfect for people who have struggled with their weight their whole life and are sick and tired of programs that just don’t work long term. The DSP is also perfect for people who want to take control of their health and reverse health conditions like diabetes, high cholesterol and heart disease.

If you’re in the slightest bit curious, I recommend you look closely at Isabel’s program. I was very impressed with all of The Diet Solution Program meal plans, the bonuses, the guarantee, and Isabel’s expertise. For the money, it’s the best deal in the weight loss industry – so much better than diet pills! And remember…

Isabel De Los Rios’s The Diet Solution Program is also backed by a 60 day money back guarantee. According to Isabel, this is a real guarantee… if you are not completely satisfied, you will receive your money back, no “ifs,” “ands,” or “buts.” So you really have nothing to lose.

I hope you’ve found this review of the Diet Solution Program informative and helpful.

Keeping you fit even though you’re busy, your friend,

George

P.P.S. Remember, for best results it’s important that you combine a healthy diet with an effective workout program!

P.P.S. If you’ve enjoyed this review of The Diet Solution Program please post below and stay tuned as I’ll be reviewing other programs in 2011!

So you know vitamins and minerals are important, but if you’re a woman, you’re probably wondering what specifically, westernunion washington are the best vitamins for women?

However, what you may not understand is WHY they are so important for your body.

Since this is a question I get pretty often, I thought I’d levitra drugs put together this simple list of the best vitamins for women.

Vitamin A – This vitamin contributes to the health of your eyes, skin and nails.

Vitamin B – While B Vitamins are often referred to as “energy vitamins” they don’t actually give you a surge of energy, per se. What they actually do is help facilitate metabolic reaction in the body to create energy. They’re also necessary for a healthy metabolism.

Vitamin C – This women’s vitamin is a great antioxidant and immune system booster. It also helps skin health.

Vitamin D – This helps women absorb calcium. digoxin online overnight And it may help prevent certain types of cancer.

Calcium – OK, so this may not be a “best vitamin for women” but that’s because calcium is actually a mineral not a vitamin. And as most women know already, it improves bone density.

Pretty simple, right? But you can also see why it’s so important to understand what are the best vitamins for women. When we understand the reasons to make healthier choices it helps us make them.

Like I said, I get asked all the time by women which vitamin supplements, if any, they need to be taking.

Great question.

Well, the truth is that if your nutrition is 100% perfect all the time then you probbaly don’t need to take any.

<img title="Just what are the buy diet pill best vitamins for women?” src=”http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/images/photos/christina_008.JPG” alt=”Just what are the best vitamins for women?” width=”400″ height=”389″ />
Just what are the best vitamins for women?

But that’s not the case for most women. Most women are busy as heck and don’t always find the time for proper nutrition (ditto for most men). So if that’s the case with you I recommend taking a Whole Foods based Multi-Vitamin which contains the best vitamins for women (at least in my humble opinion).

And the only one I recommend is Prograde Nutrition’s VGF 25+ for Women. It’s what my clients take, and it’s my wife takes, and quite frankly, it’s pretty cool!

It’s actually really cool because it’s literally made from 25 veggies, greens and fruits.

You should definitely check out Prograde’s Women’s Vitamins.

At the very top of the page is the list of ingredients. You can see the 25 whole foods they use to make VGF 25+ for Women.

Keeping you fit even though you’re busy, your friend,

George

PS ampicillin resistant gene – Pretty cool, huh? The best vitamins for women and the nutrition of 25 whole foods in a bottle!

PPS – Remember, your body is made up of systems. And if you want these systems running on all cylinders, they needs the nutrients to do so and that goes for your metabolism as well! So make sure that at a minimum, you’re taking a supplement that contains the vitamins on my list of the best vitamins for women.

I’d love to know if you’re taking a supplement, and if so why that one? Let me know by posting below!

Finding the right motivation to exercise is a struggle for most people. Even with the right motivation to exercise, most people simply don’t do it.

In fact, based on my experience as a personal trainer and former gym owner, I would say not being able to find the right motivation to exericse is the number one reason that most people don’t exercise digoxin 0.25 mg regularly. Given all the benefits of exercising (including fighting breast cancer) it’s a shame that more people don’t have some type of regular workout routine. It would certainly go a long way towards helping fight the obesity epidemic that this country is currently experiencing.

Believe it or not, I’m just like anyone else and sometimes find myself not being in the mood to workout. When that happens, I usually do one of several things to find the motivation to exercise.

What I Do To Find the Motivation to Exercise

I think about how I feel after I workout. I LOVE the way I feel after a good workout. It makes me happier, more confident and feeling great. It’s a type of high that I can’t get anywhere else and it leaves me pumped and energized for the rest of the day. This is usually the first thing I think of when I need motivation to exercise and it works about 80% low price levitra of the time. For the other 20% of the time I do one of the following:

I remind myself that it’s only 20 minutes. Because I focus on full body workouts three times a week acomplia prices with barely any rest between exercises, my workouts are super intense but they’re also super fast. When I can’t find the motivation to exercise I just remind myself that 20 minutes is a really short amount of time and it’ll be over before I know it.

I get tough on myself. This might not work for everyone, but sometimes I’ll talk to myself and tell myself that I’m “better than this” and to “stop being so damn lazy”.

Vanity. I absolutely could be vain. I admit it. I like to look and feel good and sometimes use that as a motivator. This works more often during the summer months…

Appeal to “future me”. Sometimes when I can’t find the motivation to exercise, I remind myself of what I want for “future me”. I want to be able to play with my grandkids, I want to look good for as long as possible, but most importantly (by far), I want to live as long as possible while being as healthy and active as possible. I know that the things I do today will help me in the future and it’s a key thing to remember!

Other things you can do…

Here are some other things that might give you the motivation to exercise:

Tell a friend and ask ampicillin dosage them to hold you accountable.

Workout with a friend.

Hire a personal trainer.

Take out your “skinny jeans” and leave them somewhere you can see them every day.

Make it a contest with a friend.

Take a before picture and take more pictures along the way to remind yourself of the progress you’re making.

Keep a journal of not only what you did that day but how you felt after your workout.

Use it to relieve stress.

Find a picture of someone you’d like to look like (or an old picture of yourself that you admire) and post it on your mirror.

Set smaller goals and keep track of them.

<img title="Motivation to westernunion texas  Exercise: Setting Goals” src=”http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/images/photos/41_1.jpg” alt=”" width=”400″ height=”300″ />

If you’ve been having a hard time finding the motivation to exercise, don’t worry, you’re not alone. Try and use some of these pointers and let me know how it goes.

Keeping you fit even though you’re busy, your friend,

George

PS: What’s your motivation to exercise? If you have your own or if any of the above ring true to you, let me know by posting below!

We’ve all heard the term “Glycemic Index” (GI) but few people really understand what it is or why it’s important. My goal is to give you a simple overview and explain to you why you should know what it is. The Glycemic Index is important because it has a direct impact on the blood glucose levels in your body.

Your insulin levels are affected by your blood glucose levels. Because your insulin level impacts your health in so many ways, it’s important to understand how to control it. If you understand the Glycemic Index you can make the right choices when it comes to choosing which carbohydrates to eat. This in turn will allow you to feel better as well as reduce your risk of numerous diseases.

<div class="MsoNormal" westernunion ohio style=”margin: 0in 0in 0pt;”>So what is the Glycemic Index?

<span style="color: buy levitra drugs #333333;”>The Glycemix Index is basically a way to rank carbohydrates. The ranking is based on the effect that the carbohydrates have on your blood sugar (blood glucose). At the most extreme end of the scale is eating glucose (simple sugar). Eating glucose directly doesn’t require any digestion and would cause a rapid spike in blood sugar, followed by a rapid spike in insulin which allows the cells to use this sugar (this is why some diabetics carry around sugar cubes to ingest when their insulin level is low).

When these spikes occur in your body, it’s bad news. These spikes raise your lipid levels and your sugar levels and actually cause you to eat more than your body actually requires.

<div class="MsoNormal" diflucan sale  style=”margin: 0in 0in 0pt;”>

In terms of GI level, the upper limit is 100. The type of foods you would typically find at the upper end of the scale include things like corn flakes (72) and white bread (70). Lower GI foods include apple juice (40) and oatmeal (48).

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center; buy generic acomplia  margin: 0in 0in 0pt;”>

Eating a lot of high GI foods can be detrimental to your health because it pushes your body to extremes. This is especially true if you are overweight and sedentary. Switching to eating mainly low GI carbs that slowly trickle glucose into your blood stream keeps your energy levels balanced and means you will feel fuller for longer between meals. To see a comprehensive list of values, visit GlycemicIndex.com.

Helpful for Diabetics?

Some people with diabetes use the Glycemi Index as a guide in selecting foods — especially carbohydrates — for meal planning because it ranks foods based on their effect on blood sugar level. The problem though is that although it considers blood sugar levels, it doesn’t take into account how “healthy” a food is. Low-index foods aren’t necessarily healthier than high-index foods are.

Although the glycemic-index diet has some potential benefits — such as reducing blood sugar levels — it is very complicated. Many factors affect the glycemic-index value of a specific food, including how the food is prepared and what’s eaten with it. Also, the GI value for some foods isn’t known. For these reasons, the American Diabetes Association has concluded there isn’t enough evidence to recommend the general use of a low-glycemic-index diet for people with diabetes.

GlycemicIndex.com summarizes the benefits of sticking to a low-GI diet as:

Low GI diets help people lose and control weight

Low GI diets increase the body’s sensitivity to insulin

Low GI carbs can help you manage the symptoms of PCOS

I have a quick post for you today on the strategies I use to eat more fruits and vegetables. Depending on the source, it’s typically recommended that we eat between 6-10 fruits and vegetables a day. It probably comes as no shock to you that here in the States it is reported that the actual average of fruits and veggies eaten each day is just two.

Yup, just two.

Now, I don’t know how you feel about this, but overall, it really is a sad state of nutritional affairs (especially if you have kids and they’re loooking to you as a model of what to eat).

One of the things I do to make sure my kids get at least four servings a day is setup some simple rules. These rules have been in place since they were able to understand what rules are. These are the rules I have in place with my two girls to make sure they eat more fruits and vegetables:

Breakfast must alays include at least one fruit (they typically opt for either apples, peaches, plums or strawberries)

One of their two snacks during the school day must be a fruit (they typically pack their own lunches)

They must have at least one vegetable with lunch (even if it’s lettuce and tomatoes on top of a sandwich, cucumber sticks are also amongst their favorites)

They must have at least one vegetable with dinner (this is the easiest since my wife cooks practically every night)

The great thing is that even when they’re not closely supervised they know they have to follow these rules and cheap ampicillin do so (most of the time).

Now, you’re probably thinking: “Sure, that’s great and all, but it’s a lot harder when you’re a busy adult. How does this help me?” Right?

The truth is, it’s not that much harder for adults to eat more fruits and vegetables in a given day either.

Here are some super simple tips to get you started. I’ve used all of these strategies in the past to eat more fruits and vegetables as well as help with fat loss:

Buy em pre-chopped: Look, I can be lazy, too There’s nothing wrong with not wanting to go through the hassle of having to chop up fruits and veggies. If you want to buy them pre-chopped go ahead. It’s much better for you than not eating them.

Carry them with you: Load up a plastic baggie with your pre-chopped veggies and bring them to work. Seriously, see how easy this can be! (This is the strategy I use practically every day.)

Add real fruit to your yogurt: Have some yogurt (preferably Greek yogurt) for breakfast and add some fresh blueberries, raspberries or blackberries. It’s that simple!

Here’s a bonus tip:

Like I said, I know it’s hard to eat more fruits and vegetables. Given our busy schedules, most buy cheap acomplia people are lucky to have three or four servings of fruits and vegetables (see previous statistic).

One of the ways that both my wife and I personally ensure we get enough of the nutrients we need is by taking a whole foods based multi-vitamin. By taking a whole foods based multi-vitamin, you can provide your body with the nutritional foundation you need each day (especially if you can’t eat more fruits and vegetables).

Prograde Nutrition offers a terrific product called VGF 25+ that is made from 25 veggies, greens and fruits. Unlike the big name brand multi-vitamins you’re familiar diflucan retail price with, VGF 25+ is made from whole foods.

The best part is you can try Prograde’s VGF 25+ for FREE! (There’s just a small S & H charge)

http://getfitnesstoday.getprograde.com/vgf25-free-trial.html

Be sure to use these tips on how to eat more fruits and vegetables and let me know how they help you out. Or share some of your own tips by posting below!
